Hello! I am a 64-year-old blogger. Today, I would like to talk about the pure white hyacinths I found in West Shinjuku. Are you familiar with the flower called hyacinth? I always thought that they could only be grown hydroponically, but my recent walk changed that perception.
The other day, as I was strolling near Nishi-Shinjuku Junior High School, I spotted some white flowers planted in the ground. When I took a closer look, I realized they were hyacinths!
I was surprised because I had always believed that hyacinths were grown hydroponically. However, there they were, blooming with their roots firmly planted in the soil. I was so amazed that I couldn't help but take a photo. After returning home, I immediately researched hyacinths and found out they can grow not only hydroponically but also in regular soil. Hyacinths are bulbous plants that bloom beautiful flowers in spring. Among the various colors, white hyacinths have a particularly elegant and refined appearance. The hyacinths I found were just like that.
This discovery sparked my interest in hyacinths even more, so I decided to try hydroponic cultivation. Hydroponics is a method of growing plants using only water and nutrients, without soil. Growing hyacinths hydroponically is visually appealing and requires less effort. I am looking forward to having hyacinths adorn my windowsill in the coming season.
My walk in West Shinjuku led to this wonderful discovery, which felt like a spring gift for me. I hope to continue finding new discoveries and inspirations through my walks and share them with you all through my blog.
If you have any interesting discoveries during your walks, please feel free to share them in the comment section. It would be lovely to share our wonderful spring encounters. I hope you continue to support this 64-year-old blogger.
